Apple App Store Screenshot Specifications (2026)
Use the exact sizes and requirements from Apple’s latest App Store Connect reference. Quick guide:
- Screenshots: Apple accepts 1 to 10 screenshots per device class and locale (.jpeg, .jpg, .png, with no alpha channel or transparency). One is the minimum; several usually perform better. - UI: If your UI is the same across devices, you can upload only the highest required size per device type and Apple will scale down. iPhone Duo is the exception: it needs its own screenshots. - iPhone: iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display), 1206 × 2622 or 1179 × 2556, is required and is App Store Connect’s default size. App Store Connect can also fill it by scaling large display screenshots. - iPad: 13" is required if your app runs on iPad. - iPhone Duo: outer 1398 × 2034 or inner 2007 × 2853, required from April 2027 for apps built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later.

Creative Asset sizes
iOS 27 and iPadOS 27Creative Assets are marketing placements, not additional screenshot upload classes. They went live in App Store Connect on 5 October 2026 and show on iOS and iPadOS 27 and later. No. Apple groups devices into display classes, so you typically provide one screenshot size per class instead of every individual model.
Apple requires iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display) screenshots at 1206 x 2622 or 1179 x 2556, plus iPad 13" display screenshots at 2064 x 2752 or 2048 x 2732 if your app runs on iPad. App Store Connect scales them down to the other sizes. If you upload the iPhone with Dynamic Island (large display) set at 1320 x 2868, App Store Connect scales it into the required medium slot too. AppScreens exports every size from one design.
App Store Connect now names iPhone sizes by device type. 6.9" is iPhone with Dynamic Island (large display), 6.3" is iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display), 6.5" is iPhone with Face ID (large display), 6.1" is iPhone with Face ID (medium display), and 5.5", 4.7", 4" and 3.5" are the iPhone with Home Button sizes. The pixel sizes did not change.
iPhone Duo accepts outer display screenshots at 1398 x 2034 (2034 x 1398 landscape) or inner display screenshots at 2007 x 2853 (2853 x 2007 landscape). App Store Connect has one iPhone Duo slot and does not scale other sizes into it. iPhone Duo screenshots are required from April 2027 for apps built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later.
Apple allows as few as 1 screenshot and as many as 10 screenshots per device type and locale. One screenshot can satisfy the minimum, but most apps use several screenshots to explain the product, benefits, and key flows.
Apple accepts JPEG, JPG and PNG screenshots, and they can't include an alpha channel or transparency. AppScreens App Store exports have no alpha channel unless you turn on transparency for a download.
